As traffic attorney with over 10 years experience in the fight against traffic tickets and summonses NYC taxi, I am aware of the application modes rules of traffic police in Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn and Staten Island. In early 2008, there was increased police activity on traffic summonses.

The following are areas that motorists should be aware:

1. On lower Broadway in Manhattan, there is a new bus lane. The police have written hundreds of summonses to vehicles entering the bus lane.

7. Staten Island is the worst in the borough to get a ticket, because at the DMV office at this point it is almost impossible to prevail on the police who write the tickets. Therefore, use special care on Staten Island and the Verrazzano Bridge where tons of speeding tickets are distributed. These are some basics for driving in NYC. As a step in the Bronx, Grand Concourse is a hotbed for speeding and highways in the Bronx is known for quotes. Be vigilant!
